Since 1975, we’ve been welcoming boaters of all experience levels to our corner of Newfoundland’s stunning west coast, and we’re proud of the friendships, memories, and traditions that have grown here over the decades. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or just getting started, there’s a place for you at the Bay of Islands Yacht Club.

Your own slip, all season long
With 64 well-maintained slips available, every seasonal member is assigned their own dedicated berth—complete with electrical hookup. Protected by a breakwater, our docks make for easy, comfortable docking all season long, giving you a reliable home base for every adventure on the bay.

From brand new members to seasoned sea dogs, everyone at the Bay of Islands Yacht Club shares one thing: a love of boating. Whether you’re swapping stories on the dock at Woods Island, joining in on club events, or simply enjoying the company of fellow boaters, you’ll find the kind of easy camaraderie that only comes from a club with real roots.

Located in Corner Brook, the Bay of Islands Yacht Club sits at the gateway to some of the most spectacular boating waters on the island—including the Bay of Islands, now part of the celebrated Cabot Geopark. Endless islands, hidden coves, and dramatic coastal scenery are right at your doorstep.
A club that works for you
As a volunteer organization, the Bay of Islands Yacht Club is run by members, for members. Your membership fees go directly into maintaining and improving the facilities you use every day—and your voice matters in how the club grows and evolves.

Non-volunteering fee is reduced by $22 for every volunteer hour worked in the previous year. Fee paid is applied to the initial year of seasonal membership when a berth becomes available.
